Six major home builders and 10 mostly western communities won recognition in a survey of 100,000 home buyers in 1,074 communities for outstanding customer satisfaction ratings, earning 2003 Homebuyers' Choice Awards. The awards were made by Eliant, in Irvine, Calif., based on its ongoing market surveys.
Robert Mirman, Eliant's CEO, said that home buyers surveyed seemed increasingly satisfied with the level of quality and service they are receiving from home builders. Eliant (formerly National Survey Systems) has surveyed home buyers for the past 16 years and ranked new-home communities in more than 25 categories, including home installation and workmanship; readiness of home at the time of move-in; and the buyer's perception of the construction, sales, and customer service process and personnel.
