On the latest episode of Inspirational Leadership with the Best in Home Building, podcast host and Zonda principal Mollie Carmichael interviews Eric Lipar, CEO and chairman of LGI Homes.

Like many in the industry, home building was not Lipar’s original career trajectory. He grew up in a rural Michigan town with a population of just 500 people. Pursuing his passion for mathematics, he went to a local college and studied to become an actuary. But, he realized a desk job inside all day, every day, was not the path for him.

With some guidance from his father, Lipar landed a job selling acreage homesites. Later his father started LGI Development, and together they sold their own acreage lots. In 2003, he started LGI Homes, which is now No. 10 on the 2022 Builder 100.

Tune in to Inspirational Leadership with the Best in Home Building to get to know more about Lipar, his leadership style, and what inspires him.
