How to Use it
Trends in the labor force can in part be used to determine the condition of the local labor market.
When employment becomes scarce, the labor force declines due to the decrease in the number of persons employed and also
the number of persons seeking employment. As jobs become more abundant, individuals who have previously exited the labor force often return.
