Western Window Systems’ new Series 3700 Vinyl Multi-Slide Door offers a number of performance enhancements, including a flexible floating sill and an easier installation process, in response to the needs of the production builder market.
The door is designed to fit into most standard 2x6 openings, and requires no additional framing. Two nail fin set-back options are built into the door as standard, making installation easier, and a separate snap-in interlock can be applied after installation to prevent unwanted air and light from getting in.
The floating sill track provides “superior” rolling performance, according to the manufacturer, and adapts to a variety of flooring substrate conditions. The door’s hardware colors are matched to its frame, and an optional black capstock offers low heat gain and high color stability. The panels are made from Low-E, dual-pane, argon-filled glass by Cardinal IG.
“The Series 3700 Vinyl Multi-Slide Door is our most economical solution to help us reach even more production builders who want to add indoor-outdoor living to their homes as a way to differentiate and drive sales. It’s packed with new innovations such as a ‘floating’ sill track, two nail fin set-back options, a snap-in interlock, color-matched hardware, and a black capstock option,” says Chet Willis, Western Window Systems’ vice president of production builder sales. “Our intention has been to create a new kind of vinyl door that rolls with ease ¬¬while helping to make installation easier on the production builder’s bottom line. The Series 3700 is a realization of that vision.”
Western Window Systems is offering the Series 3700 through its Volume Program channel. Three-panel stacking configurations are available for immediate order, with four-panel, bi-parting, and 90-degree options also available. westernwindowsystems.com
