MI Windows and Doors recently announced the launch of the Carbonite Collection, a new black/black vinyl window and door collection.
As part of the launch, MI is also expanding its product portfolio. Coming this summer, the collection launches with MI’s 1620 single-hung and picture windows, 1630 horizontal slider, fixed windows, and three new products: the 3075 casement and 3065 awning in its V3000 series and the VX4500 moving glass wall system.
“The Carbonite Collection represents an important step forward for the MI brand as we continue to expand our offerings with more innovative products and color technologies,” said Robert Jumper, product manager at MI Windows and Doors. “The Carbonite Collection is designed to meet builders’ demand for black window and door solutions that combine modern aesthetics with long-term durability and strong performance across a wide range of operating styles and configurations.”
Products within the Carbonite Collection feature capstock color technology. Capstock provides the durability of through-color vinyl, improved heat resistance, while maintaining the thermal and structural performance associated with vinyl products.
The new casement and awning products introduce a thinner frame profile with more glass area, while the VX4500 offers highly configurable layouts, including multi-track, pocket, and corner configurations that support large unobstructed openings.
The Carbonite Collection offers a narrow 3 1/4-inch frame depth, allowing the entire collection to fit into standard frame depth across the replacement pocket.
