Starting later this fall, Marvin Windows and Doors will offer a new system of windows and doors created to meet the performance needs and design specifications of modern design projects. The Marvin Modern series incorporates a proprietary modern-style frame with a high-density fiberglass exterior and aluminum interior. Its patent-pending frame design is designed to deliver thermal and structural performance, as well as desirable narrow sight lines.
“Modern architecture is continuing to grow in popularity and the exacting needs of its architects and builders are well-matched with Marvin’s commitment to cutting-edge design and outstanding quality,” said Brian Johnson, vice president of New Ventures at Marvin Windows and Doors. “More than 100 years of expertise, an established network of dealers and distributors, and thoughtful customer support channels make us uniquely positioned to exceed expectations and deliver uncompromising window and door solutions for modern projects.”
The Marvin Modern Multi-Slide Doors will be available with Marvin’s Sliding Door Automatic Control, and all products will include a Lock Status Sensor. All Marvin Modern frames maintain a sightline of less than three inches, which is upheld even when multiple panes are mulled together to create a large window wall.
The frames are available in ebony, bronze, anodized/silver, gunmetal and stone white, with an option to split finishes on the interior and exterior. All products uphold modern aesthetics with a low-gloss aluminum interiors, a black spacer bar, and a black sealant.
The Marvin Modern product line will enter the market in phases. Marvin Modern Multi-Slide Doors and Direct Glaze Windows will be available in late fall 2018, followed by Marvin Modern Casement and Awning Windows in early 2019 and more products to come over the rest of next year. marvin.com
