Days on the construction site can be long and filled with tedious mishaps or safety concerns. Here, BUILDER rounded up some products, tools, and safety equipment that will protect workers, offer added convenience for daily tasks, and maybe even add a little bit of fun to your work day.

LiftGator
The LiftGator XTR hitch-mounted removable liftgate from CM Truck Beds is a portable, battery-operated liftgate system that can be attached to most pickup, flatbed, utility, or service trucks equipped with 2- or 2 ½-inch hitch receivers. The company says the liftgate takes only three minutes to install, and workers are able to easily keep the liftgate stored when it’s not in use. The system has a 4-foot-by 4-foot platform operated with a button, a 1,200-pound capacity, and can complete 20 lifts on a single charge.

Bosch Tools
The Bosch JS120 12V Barrel-Grip Jig Saw is a compact, light, cordless jig saw at only 3.3 pounds and 9.4 inches long. The saw can make straight or curved cuts in wood, metal, or plastics, even in tight spaces, according to the manufacturer. The saw has variable speeds ranging from 1,500 to 2,800 strokes per minute, provides a three-stage orbital action to match cutting execution with application, and has a 45-degree bevel angle range.

DEWALT
The DeWalt 20V Max Green Rotary Tough Laser uses green beam technology, which is said to provide additional visibility in bright environments compared with traditional red beams. The dual-slope laser (+/- 10%) features debris and water resistance and has a 2-meter drop protection. The laser provides accuracy of +/- 1/16 inches at 100 feet and an interior range of 250 feet or an exterior range of 2,000 feet with the use of a detector. The laser operates with a 20-volt battery for longer use.

Honeywell
The Miller TurboLite Edge Series collection of personal fall limiters provides new lifelines to protect workers from the dangers of falling. The TurboLite Max model (shown) includes a durable web lifeline that is cut-, abrasion- and chemical–resistant for smooth-edge applications. All models feature an integral shock absorber, are compact and lightweight, and are rated for a 420-pound worker from overhead down to foot-level connections.

Brinno
For builders looking to capture their next project, the Brinno BCC200 Pro HDR Time Lapse Video Construction Camera can record months of a build and display it in a time-lapse format with no editing required. The company says the industrial-grade professional construction camera requires no tools or wires to install, comes with a weather-resistant case, long battery life, and industrial-grade aeronautical aluminum alloy clamp and bungee cords.

Festool
Festool has launched its Airstream Cordless Battery Technology, which the company says will reduce charging times for cordless tools by up to 60%. The system is made up of an air-cooled charger and 18-volt battery line, and pulls cooled air through the air intakes of the pack, channeling airflow through the cells and into the charger while heat from both the battery and charger are exhausted to the side. A countdown timer lets users know when the batteries are ready for use.

MSA

MSA Safety
MSA is increasing jobsite safety with the introduction of the Latchways Leading Edge Self-Retracting Lanyard. The company says the integrated energy absorber ensures the lifeline remains intact in the event of a fall over a sharp edge, and the device’s “Constant Force” technology and “Full Contact” locking mechanism guarantee that it won’t freeze or hang up. It can support weight up to 310 pounds and is available in 23- and 33-foot cable lengths.
