In its most recent multi-tool offering, Bosch has compressed the power of its 12-volt Max tool into a lighter, more compact form. The Bosch GOP12V-28 12V Max Starlock Oscillating Multi-Tool is 11.2 inches long, weighs 1.75 lbs, and has a narrow shape ideal for fine cuts and tight corners.
The tool’s EC Brushless motor offers more power and more efficient energy use than the 12-volt motor of the previous generation Bosch tools. It oscillates at up to 20,000 oscillations per minute, with a 2.8-degree oscillating arc and a variable-speed dial ranging from 5,000 to 20,000 opm.
The tool’s flexible accessory orientation has accessory positions at every 30 degrees. The connection cupped and shaped like a bottle cap, which provides more surface area for blade grip and maximum torque transfer.
