Perfect Steam Washer and Perfect Steam Dryer, Electrolux
Electrolux’s new front-loading washer with SmartBoost technology pre-mixes water and detergent before the laundry cycle begins for a more thorough wash in 15 minutes. In addition to a sanitizing option that the company claims removes 99% of bacteria and 95% of allergens, the brand’s StainSoak and Perfect Steam technologies tailor each cycle to specific stain types, adding steam when necessary. Similar technology on the unit’s companion dryer removes wrinkles, reduces static, and further sanitizes the wash load. The pair are expected to be available in April 2016, and will retail for $1099 each.
