Put a Coat On: Kelly-Moore EnviroCoat Reflective 1545 Paint

Adding extra layers when it’s hot outside doesn’t make sense — unless you’re adding a layer of EnviroCoat Reflective 1545 paint. Among the first commercially produced architectural coatings designed to reflect radiant heat, the acrylic exterior paint helps lower external wall temperature. Actual temperature change depends on a number of variables, including the amount of sunlight or shade already on the property and the paint color chosen (there are six available). However, the maker reports that total solar reflectance (TSR) numbers range from 11% to 81% better than Cool Roof Rating Council (CRRC) minimum qualifying TSR, as seen in the chart below.
