The VELCRO Brand and Carlisle SynTec Systems have partnered to develop an adhesive-less roofing system that combines Carlisle’s RL roofing membranes and uses VELCRO Brand Securable Solution Products to fasten Carlisile’s RL roofing membranes to its insulation. The resulting RapidLock Roofing System saves time and labor, allows for quick and timely installation, and emits no odors or VOCs.
The RapidLock Roofing System may be used in any “low-slope” roofing application with waterproofing membranes, including residential buildings with low-slope membrane roofs. The system has no application temperature or condition restrictions, providing contractors with confidence that their roofing installation will not be delayed by weather conditions.
The system carries a Factory Mutual 1-90 approval rating, wind uplift ratings to traditional fully-adhered single ply roofing, and hail and puncture resistance. Membrane options include 115-mil FleeceBACK® RL EPDM and 115-mil FleeceBACK RL TPO, and polyiso options include 2.0″ InsulBase® RL and 0.5″ SecurShield® HD RL.
