Deckorators has introduced a new wood-plastic composite decking line, Deckorators Trailhead, as a low maintenance, entry-level offering with an expected average retail price in the range of $2 per lineal foot.
The Trailhead deck boards are composed of a highly compressed core under a scratch-resistant polyethylene cap on three sides, and offer a “rugged’ appearance in three lightly streaked colors—Ridgeline (gray), Pathway (brown), and Canyon (red-brown)—with natural flat-grain embossing. The boards are available in 12-, 16-, and 20-foot solid- and grooved-edge profiles, and measure 7/8 inches thick by 5 ½ inches wide.
Each full deck is supported by a 25-year structural, stain-and-fade, and removal-and-replacement limited warranty. The boards are also compatible with the Deckorators Pro Plug fastening system.
“As people spend more time at home and value their outdoor space more than ever, many homeowners are looking to trade up from wood to low-maintenance composite decking,” says Chris Camfferman, managing director of marketing at Deckorators. “Deckorators Trailhead WPC decking offers the affordability of wood without forfeiting the desirable features of our composite decking, like trend-setting aesthetics, low-maintenance durability, and a best-in-class warranty. We’re excited to offer a new composite decking option that gives homeowners a path to the perfect outdoor space in their own backyard.”
Deckorators Trailhead is expected to be available throughout the U.S. and Canada in early 2021. deckorators.com
