Boral Building Products has added a new reversible siding profile to its TruExterior line of poly-ash siding and trim, with nickel gap on one side of the panel and shiplap siding on the other. One format features smooth nickel gap siding and wood-grain shiplap, while the other has wood-grain nickel gap siding and smooth shiplap.
Both the reversible product and the wood-grain nickel gap siding are new to the TruExterior line. According to the manufacturer, this satisfies consumer demand for wood-grain options, allows dealers to stock fewer SKUs, and gives builders more opportunities to design varied streetscapes.
“Our new reversible Shiplap-Nickel Gap profile makes it easy for builders and remodelers to create beautiful, on-trend exteriors that are both eye-catching and high performing for a look that truly stands the test of time,” says Ben Drury, brand manager for Boral Building Products.
Each of the TruExterior Reversible Shiplap-Nickel Gap profiles is available in four different widths and two standard lengths. Both shiplap and nickel gap are a part of TruExterior’s Craftsman collection, which replicate the look and feel of traditional wood siding, as well as the cut and install process.
The panels are made from Boral’s standard TruExterior siding blend of polymers and fly ash, and provide high dimensional stability for reduced expansion and contraction. It resists warping, cracking and splitting, requires no sealing of ends or cuts, can be used in ground-contact applications, and can be painted any color, including dark colors. boralbuildingproducts.com
