Legrand released its kitchen countertop outlet, delivering a sleek and code-compliant power solution for islands and peninsulas.

Developed in response to 2023 NEC updates, which prohibit outlets on the sides of kitchen islands, this device brings power directly to the surface without compromising design or install efficiency.

“Our goal was to solve for safety and compliance while making it easier and faster for the trades to deliver beautiful, functional kitchen countertops,” said Racheal Rich, product manager at Legrand. “This product eliminates the need for bulky pop-ups or workarounds, and gives pros a truly install-friendly solution they can count on to pass inspection and wow homeowners.”

Additional benefits of the product include:

• Passes UL half-gallon spill test and is tested to 2000-volt dielectric strength;

• 90-degree, snap-in connector and hand-turn nut allow for fast installs above and below counter;

• Surface-mount design resists corrosion and integrates cleanly with countertops;

• Built-in shutters protect against object insertion, ideal for family-safe kitchens;

• Device comes in matte black or white; cast-metal lids available in black, white, stainless steel, and champagne bronze.
