Belgian lighting manufacturer Modular Lighting Instruments by MLI NA Corp. is launching two new accessory categories for its North American product lineup: LED drivers for Smart 3.2 recessed fixtures, offered in partnership with Lutron Electronics, and new optical diffusers for the Duell, Trapz, and Split fixtures.
The LED drivers add a wide array of lighting and dimming capabilities for Modular Lighting Instruments’ products. The company offers two types of Lutron drivers: Hi-lume 1% 2-wire, which offers continuous flicker-free dimming down to 1%, and Hi-lume 1% EcoSystem LED, which allows for digital LED control on an individual basis.
The Smart 3.2 can be specified for both insulated contact and non-IC housings. Lutron drivers are already available for Modular Lighting Instruments’ Smart 1.9 and Smart 4.5 recessed fixtures.
The new diffusers for the Duell, Trapz, and Split series are designed to soften and level the fixtures’ light, providing a “blended glow” and seamless design. The wall-mounted fixtures are equipped with both a downlight and uplight, designed to provide illumination in both directions.
The Duell series includes two flattened cylinders in surface or wall-mount configurations, available with a choice of separate contrasting finishes on the interior and exterior. Trapz, inspired by a trapezium shape, consists of a cylinder with two oblique openings into a contrasting interior. Split (above) consists of a single folded plate with light radiating from a slit, recommended for atmospheric lighting applications. supermodular.us
