With its newest product, TYTAN Drywall High Yield Adhesive, TYTAN aims to prevent screw pops, offer high adhesive performance, and provide builders with a product that exceeds environmental standards nationwide.

“Screw pops are the nemesis of builders and drywall contractors, causing costly expenses in repairs… and their reputations,” says Drew Robinson, marketing manager, Selena USA. “TYTAN Drywall High Yield Adhesive is a real step up from traditional cartridge- or foam-applied drywall adhesives to solve these key issues, while offering other attractive benefits.”

The polyurethane formulation provides the TYTAN adhesive with strength, durability, and environmentally-friendly performance, while its foam application offers cost-savings and speed. TYTAN estimates that just one can would eliminate the need for more than 12 28-oz. cans of caulk adhesive. It also reduces the number of fasteners required to attach drywall, as it meets ASTM C557 requirements, on top of costs saved in the reduced need for repairs.

The TYTAN adhesive offers improved gap fill and improved blower door test results when installed on exterior sheathing. It will not shrink under pressure or climate conditions. It is applicable to vertical and overhead surfaces, including drywall, exterior sheathing and foam board. It adheres to wood, steel, brick, and concrete.
