GIG HARBOR, Wash. (Hanley-Wood News Service) — Headed for the International Builders? Show this year? Don?t forget to stop by the Structural Insulated Panel Association?s ?SIPA Village.? Designed by architect Bill Chaleff, who specializes in custom SIP home designs, the Structural Insulated Panel Association?s exhibit is sure to grab attention with its ?cityscape? motif built with the strong, super energy-efficient panels.

?The SIPA Village represents a unique opportunity to meet with industry experts in one place during the 2002 International Builders? Show,? says Association president Dave Gauthier, Winter Panel Corporation. ?Building with SIPs will cut energy use in half, saves labor, eliminates call backs, and allows builders to give homebuyers the ?green building? benefits they?re looking for,? says Gauthier.

Participating SIP manufacturers include Winter Panel Corporation, Premier Building Systems, W.H. Porter, Insulspan, Inc., AFM R-Control Building Systems, and FisherSIPs, Inc.

With support from SIPA member firms, this year?s exhibit highlights SIPA?s intensified focus on growing builder membership. SIPA provides a whole new set of marketing support and educational materials for builders and SIP installers.

Presentations in the courtyard area by Mark LaLiberte, Shelter Source, a building science expert, will give attendees a chance to see and learn how SIPs can be used to enhance the design and energy efficiency of any residential design. Mark will also explain how the related energy-efficient systems work together to create a ?better built, healthy home.?

Additional products and services featured by SIPA members sponsoring the SIPA Village are provided by Weyerhaeuser, Tolko Industries, Hundegger USA, Ashland Chemical, Rohm & Haas, PFS Corporation, Thermal Foams, Inc., Pacemaker Plastics, Inc., The Sun Works Company, SIPBuilder Inc., Act Manufacturing, Inc., and PanelPros, Inc.
