Simpson Strong-Tie has acquired six new product lines across two brands, Ready Products and Radius Tool, from Radius Track Corporation, a cold-formed steel (CFS) framing supplier in Minneapolis, Minn.
“We are excited about acquiring these product lines from Radius Track to continue to expand our offering of CFS framing solutions to new and existing customers. This acquisition aligns with our value proposition of being the trusted provider of building solutions to the construction industry,” says Jeremy Gilstrap, Simpson Strong-Tie General Manager of Concrete Construction Products.
The Ready Products - Ready-Hat, Ready-Track, Ready-Arch and Ready-Angle – are pre-formed, hand-bendable curved framing structures for light-gauge steel framing. They were introduced to the market in 2004, and presented as an alternative to manual cutting, snipping, and shaping on-site. The Radius Tools – Radius Track Bender and Radius Trim Bender – are designed to create curved walls and soffits from CMS framing.
These new offerings will allow Simpson Strong-tie to expand its offerings for cold-formed steel construction. As its own separate entity, Radius Track Corporation will focus on sub-systems for curved and complex surfaces at both the pre-construction and post-contract award phases.
