Starting this week, the DuPont FlexWrap EZ Adhesive Tape by DuPont Safety & Construction is available in the American market. The tape is DuPont’s latest addition to its 100% butyl-backed DuPont Flashing Systems line of home envelope sealing products.
The self-adhering FlexWrap EZ tape, which measures 2 3/4 inches wide, is designed to seal around smaller wall penetrations. According to the manufacturer, it is ideal for flashing around electrical, HVAC, and plumbing connections. Its use reduces the opportunity for air leakage around these penetrations.
“Multiple trades can use this single product on various types of penetrations for sealing the building envelope, no longer needing multiple products for different applications,” says Alan Hubbel, residential marketing manager for DuPont Safety & Construction. “It helps reduce complexity for builders and contractors. One roll is enough to seal around all the typical penetrations in an average-sized home. Plus, FlexWrap EZ is designed to withstand extreme temperatures and 270 days of UV exposure, making it suitable for use in residential and commercial applications.”
The FlexWrap EZ Adhesive tape is available in 15-foot rolls, with a split release liner for easy installation. It was first introduced in Europe, and will soon be available in the Canadian market. FlexWrapEZ.dupont.com
