Duravit USA has added four new Viu washbasins and complementary XViu furniture sizes to the Viu/XViu collection, a bathroom furniture series defined by geometric precision and avant-garde design elements, developed in partnership with sieger design. According to the manufacturer, the new sink designs “continue the design language” of the existing series and expand upon the ongoing partnership.

“The Duravit partnership with sieger design has such a rich history—one that allows us to continually push the boundaries of conventional design and manufacturing solutions,” says Tim Schroeder, Duravit’s North American president. “The four new washbasins and furniture combinations carry on the collection’s soft organic shapes and precise geometry and offer a new level of detail previously unattainable in the bath.”

Duravit’s proprietary c-bonded technique creates a seamless fusion between the Viu washbasins and either a XViu console or XViu vanity furniture frame. “These technical possibilities will lead to a paradigm shift in bathroom design,” says Michael Sieger of sieger design. “They correspond to wider trends in architecture toward industrial prefabrication, which allows an unprecedented level of precision.”

The new formats include a 17 ¾-inch wall-mounted vanity unit, as well as a 23 5/8-inch, 39 3/8-inch, or 47 ¼-inch wall-mounted vanity unit with one or two pullout drawers, floor-standing vanity units with two drawers, or a floor-standing metal console. duravit.com
