Bosch Thermotechnology Corp. has announced the addition of a simpler and more streamlined gas-condensing boiler option to its Greenstar Pro Combi lineup. The Greenstar Combi 100P can provide both household heat and up up to 2.6 GPM of domestic hot water. It has a maximum input rate of 100,000 BTU/h, a minimum input rate of 24,600 BTU/h, and ultra-quiet operation.
The new boiler model offers the same performance as the Greenstar Combi boiler in a compact, lightweight model that includes only the essential parts. It features an ASME-approved Al-Si heat exchanger, which is composed of a flexible magnesium-aluminum-silicon alloy. The heat exchanger’s coating resists scale buildup, which allows for less maintenance, higher efficiency, and a longer appliance life.
“With more than 4 million Bosch Greenstar boilers sold worldwide, users can be confident in the quality, innovation and performance they’ll receive from these combi boiler units,” says Justin Stephens, product manager at Bosch Thermotechnology. “While installers can expect very low installation efforts and very few external components with this straightforward solution.”
Other appliance features include a stainless-steel flat-plate heat exchanger with double passage, and a liquid propane conversion kit, which eliminates the need for a flue gas analyzer. A full modulating fan adjusts the gas that enters the boiler depending on the current heat demand, and prevents the boiler from having either too little or too much air for optimal combustion.
