Design & Construction Week is a little later this year, with the International Builders' Show (IBS) and Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) running from February 19-21, 2019 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas. For anyone looking to get a head start, here’s a few of the show’s newest products – some of them are already on the market, and others will launch at the show itself.

NanaWall – Booth C3046

The cero glass wall system consists of wide-format, floor-to-ceiling panels that run on recessed top and bottom tracks concealed in the panel profiles. Cero is available with double- or triple-glazed panels, as well as all of NanaWall’s sill options. The system’s U-values range from .26 to .40, depending on the window and sill configuration. The double glazed and flush sill options have been tested to STC (Sound Transmission Class) 43 standards for acoustic penetration.

INOX – Booth SL467

Using a Swiss diode laser, INOX’s new Laser Art option provides personalized engravings on any stainless steel INOX door hardware up to 30 inches across. The laser can reproduce virtually any line art a customer provides within an accuracy of up to 0.001 millimeters, with four engraving options–black, white, color, and copper reveal. The latter process is only available for the oil rubbed bronze finish, and uses laser ablation to carve the specified design out of the black top layer.

Ply Gem – Outdoor Exhibit P8

The newly-redesigned casements for Ply Gem’s MIRA aluminum-clad wood windows offer an improved thermal design system, standardized hardware, and a thinner screen design. The new sash cladding gives the window a historic look, and works together with the overall thermal design to create a protective layer against cold air and heat intrusion. MIRA is available with 7/8-inch thick glass as standard, with options for triple-pane insulated glass and four additional new glass options.

Lennox – Booth C4942

The SL297NV Ultra Low Emissions Gas Furnace features a heating efficiency rating of 97.5% AFUE (Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency). The unit’s high heat temperature burns away much of its NOx emissions before they are released into the air, allowing it to produce 65% lower NOx emissions than comparable furnaces, according to the manufacturer. Its variable-speed blower motor allows for constant and efficient airflow adjustments, and distributes heat evenly throughout the home.

Marvin – Both C3819

The Marvin Modern line is designed for minimal visual distraction. The collection’s new frame design combines a high-density fiberglass exterior, which achieves sight lines of less than 3 inches, with an aluminum interior that provides structural strength and high thermal performance. The frames are available in ebony, bronze, clear anodized/silver, gunmetal, and stone white finishes. Each is paired with matching hardware, as well as a black spacer bar and sealant.

Boral Roofing – Booth C4519

Boral Roofing’s self-adhered MetalSeal underlayment is designed especially for metal roofing, but may be used with any roofing type and installed in any climate or temperature. The underlayment sheet is designed to bond directly to the roof deck or base sheet upon installation, self-sealing around fastener penetrations for protection against rain, snow, and ice. During construction, MetalSeal is designed to remain intact under high foot traffic and provide traction for safe installation.

Top Knobs – Booth N2763

The Grace collection, developed to mark Top Knobs’ 25th year in operation, is comprised of 276 hardware pieces in six series: Barrow, Henderson, Kent (pictured), Pomander, Minetta, and Riverside. Each one is inspired by the “ageless beauty” of New York City neighborhoods, with a “stripped down” modern touch. The collection will be unveiled in full at KBIS.

Panasonic – Booth C2649

The WhisperHood IAQ 28-inch undercabinet Range Hood is designed to be installed inside a cabinet, expanding kitchen design options for builders and providing discreet ventilation through a flush, stainless-steel filter. It delivers a maximum of 390 CFM of high-velocity quiet capture efficiency, with five power settings. The metallic grease filter is removable and dishwasher safe.

Fleurco – Booth SL737

The MERCURY bypass shower door features two frameless sliding doors on a bypass-style suspended rolling track, with sleek lines made for modern settings. The doors stand at a choice of 79 or 86 inches tall with frames and hardware available in chrome, brushed nickel, or matte black finishes. Both in-line and two-sided configurations are available in 48-, 60-, and 72-inch widths. A tub door is also available at 60 inches wide and 66 inches tall.

Samsung – Booth C6716

Samsung has reimagined its Chef Collection to offer a full suite of Wi-Fi enabled appliances, including the collection’s new 36-inch Dual Fuel Pro Range, available in stainless steel or matte black stainless steel. The built-in range features two independent burners that may be adjusted from 22,000 BTU down to 850 BTU. The oven’s 6.3 cubic-foot oven can hold large or multiple dishes, and offers a push-to-start Steam Cook feature.

Arcitell – Outdoor Exhibit P4

Qora, set to launch in Texas and the Southeast early this year, is a fiber-reinforced, lightweight polymer cladding panel that replicates the look of brick, stone, and wood exterior siding. The 2-by-4-foot panels weigh less than 3 pounds per square foot and may be installed at 15 to 20 square feet per hour, compared to 45 pounds and 6 to 8 square feet per hour for masonry. The panel is fire-resistant, emits zero VOCs, and requires little maintenance, the firm says.

Neolith – Booth SL432

The newest colors in Neolith’s sintered stone collections include New York-New York, a mix of matte and shine gray tones; Mar del Plata, which places blue-gray quartz banding on a light gray surface to create a ripple effect; Mont Blanc, a white slab with gray marble-style veining; and Sofia Cuprum, a dark surface with a metallic appearance. Neolith’s stone is made from a composite of clays, feldspar, silica, and natural mineral oxides. Each one is fully recyclable, durable, and requires little maintenance.

Hastings Tile & Bath – BL20024 (Salon at KBIS)

The Urban vanity collection offers dozens of customization options. The full console is available as a wall or floor mount, with or without legs, with open or closed side panels. The countertop is available in 30 material and finish options, and the cabinets come in more than 100 styles and finishes.
