D.R. Horton features six floor plans priced from the $240,000s with sizes from 1,868 to 2,713 square feet. Gray Point’s model displays details on seven available floor plans priced from the $190,000s and ranging from 1,553 to 2,741 square feet.
Other Balmoral builders include Colina Homes, HistoryMaker Homes, and Westin Homes. Pricing is from the $190,000s. The first several sections under development in 580-acre master planned community encompass approximately 600 homesites within gated neighborhoods.
Earlier this year, developer Land Tejas detailed plans for the first Crystal Lagoon to be built in Texas. Found in resorts throughout the world, Crystal Lagoons are environmentally friendly, clear bodies of fresh water that use minimal chemicals and technology. The patented technology enables low water consumption and can use any type of water — sea, fresh or even brackish water — based on availability.
“We are breaking new ground in master-planned amenities with the Crystal Lagoon, which will be the first in Houston,” says Jennifer Keller, president and CEO of Land Tejas. “We think an amenity this sensational will be a tipping point for home buyers looking for added value.”
The Balmoral Crystal Lagoon will encompass three beaches — a Kid’s Cove with depths up to 3.5 feet, a family beach with cabanas and lounge chairs and Serenity Beach for adults. Anchoring the lagoon will be an 8-acre Amenity Village offering a welcome center and a clubhouse overlooking an infinity-edge pool and the Crystal Lagoon. The complex also will have a food truck courtyard, hammock park, sand volleyball court, a playground and a splash pad.
