Foremost Companies, Newport Beach, California announced Wednesday that development is underway at Deerlake Ranch, a new master-planned community in the Los Angeles metro in Chatsworth.

The six Deerlake Ranch villages—the first two of which are expected to open in late 2019—will offer a total of 314 single-family homes ranging from 5,000 square feet to half-acre equestrian lots. Deerlake Ranch is a venture between Foremost Companies and a controlled affiliate of Starwood Capital Group.

“Deerlake Ranch’s combination of distinctive housing options, engaging lifestyle offerings and second-to-none location certainly makes it a standout. Each Deerlake Ranch village will be distinct from the next with its own subtle nuances, details and panoramas,” said Steve Cameron, president and founder of Foremost Companies. “Los Angeles remains one of the most constrained markets in the nation for new homes, and we anticipate strong demand for the residences at Deerlake Ranch.”

Deerlake Ranch’s strategic location in Los Angeles County just north of the 118 freeway and adjacent to Porter Ranch provides direct access to local freeways and the nearby Chatsworth Transportation Center, which connects via Metrolink commuter rail to downtown Los Angeles and five other Southern California counties. Situated only 30 miles from L.A.’s central business district, the 230-acre hillside property will offer buyers six thoughtfully-designed villages where architecturally diverse new residences, gathering places, a high-end equestrian community, winding trails and beautiful vistas come together behind private gates. Residents will enjoy exclusive amenities, nearby parks, and the natural terrain as well as an array of shopping, dining, entertainment and cultural destinations.

Residents of the master-planned community will also enjoy The Canyon Club, Deerlake Ranch’s resort-style clubhouse that includes a pool, spa, game room, fire pit, built-in BBQ, pizza oven, cabanas, covered outdoor spaces, and an outdoor fireplace. Homeowners will be surrounded by open space on three sides with easy access to 4.3 miles of multi-use trails for hiking, running, cycling or horseback riding, natural terrain and rock outcroppings, and panoramic views of mountains. The miles of multi-use and equestrian trails within Deerlake Ranch will connect to regional trails that are part of the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy.

Van Daele Homes and Landsea Homes will deliver the first two Deerlake Ranch neighborhoods. Van Daele’s Ridgepointe village will offer 53 luxury, single-family residences from approximately 3,700 to almost 4,300 square feet. Architectural styles will range from Modern Prairie and Modern Farmhouse to Santa Barbara, Transitional Ranch and Transitional Spanish, and three main floor plans will include many available home/room configurations and customization choices. Slated for a late fall opening, Ridgepointe will also include chef’s kitchens with Kitchen Aid appliance packages, generous indoor/outdoor California rooms and Amazon home technology.

Landsea Homes’ Crestley at Deerlake Ranch neighborhood will feature 50 upscale single-family homes ranging from 3,000 to 3,600 square feet. The community will offer three floor plan options and Farmhouse, California Ranch and Transitional Arts & Crafts architectural styles. Crestley at Deerlake Ranch model homes are scheduled to open by end of 2019.
