Fischer Homes has announced the model grand opening at its first Atlanta-area, active-adult community, Poplar Place. The new gated, 55-plus community in Dallas, Georgia, features low-maintenance, ranch-style patio homes from the $350,000s to the $500,000s.

"We are excited to be opening our first patio home model in Atlanta," says Doug Cohen, Fischer Homes Atlanta market president. "Demand is continuously increasing for 55-plus communities, and Poplar Place is the perfect location for active-adult buyers who are looking for a charming community with a variety of amenities and nearby attractions."

The Wilmington Coastal Classic model at Poplar Place features four bedrooms, three and a half baths, and 3,322 square feet of living space. One of the builder’s most popular patio home designs, the plan offers a generous kitchen and dining room that opens to the great room with a two-sided fireplace to add division to the space. A covered patio is included beyond the great room. The private owner’s suite incorporates a walk-in closet and ensuite bathroom. A second bathroom and study/optional third bedroom are also included in the Wilmington.

To accommodate a variety of 55-plus home buyer needs, homes in Poplar Place will range from 1,500 to roughly 2,500 square feet of living space with two to five bedrooms, two to four and a half baths, and two-car garages. Options include covered patios, upper-level loft spaces, and side-entry garages, per plan.

Planned amenities at Poplar Place, to be built in Phase II, include a clubhouse with kitchen and indoor and outdoor gathering spaces, a fitness center, and a flex room that can be used for yoga. The community will also feature walking trails, a pickleball court, and bocce ball.

Poplar Place is conveniently located to GA-120 and US-278 for easy access to major thoroughfares and downtown Atlanta. Shopping, dining, and recreation opportunities are nearby along Jimmy Lee Smith Parkway and Wendy Bagwell Parkway. Wellstar Paulding Hospital is also just minutes away.
