Plano, Texas–based Risland Development has announced that it will hold its first open houses in March for the 3,000-acre Mantua master-planned community north of Dallas, Texas.
The first phase of development, located in Van Alstyne, Texas, will contain 223 single-family homes in a wide variety of floor plans by David Weekley Homes, Highland Homes, Perry Homes, and Risland Homes. Pricing for the first phase will range from the $280,000s to the $450,000s. Future Mantua phases will be located to the south in Anna, Texas.
"It's very exciting to see the first phase of Mantua coming to life," says Michael Hanschen, vice president of development at Risland. "Our goal from the start has been to provide our residents with unequaled amenities, high-quality builders, and a highly ranked school zone."
Community amenities are set to include a children’s pool and splash zone, a resort-style swimming pool, an open-air pavilion, multiple playgrounds and gathering areas, and a 1-mile trail. At full buildout, the community will offer 25 miles of nature trails and 275 acres of green space.
"At Mantua, residents of all ages and stages of life will enjoy a refreshingly new community that's rich with Texas heritage and surrounded by thoughtful landscaping and plenty of explorable green space," Hanschen says. "As we see it, Mantua will provide residents a respite from the pressures of city life, but will offer easy access to conveniences, offerings, and employers in Van Alstyne, Anna, McKinney, and further south."
Future plans for Mantua include retail and commercial tenants and an on-site elementary school and high school.
