Kept Property Group has closed on 25 acres in Millican Reserve in College Station, Texas. It will be one of the first 55-plus, single-family home neighborhoods in the conservation-focused, master-planned community.
Called Lakeside at Millican Reserve, Kept Classic Homes will be the exclusive builder of the first 64 homesites. Kept Property Group will also build a clubhouse to serve the residents of Lakeside.
“With 30 miles of trails and a 40-acre clear water lake, Millican Reserve promises the kind of peaceful lifestyle active adults seek. The on-site farm, community events, and a dedicated clubhouse will add to the appeal,” says Jesse Durden, president of Kept Property Group. “People age 55 and older have limited choices when it comes to active-adult living in the College Station area. There are several apartment complexes and assisted living facilities, but this will add single-family homes to the options.”
Millican Reserve is about 10 miles southeast of Texas A&M University in College Station. This innovative development spans more than 2,600 acres and includes a planned mixture of residential neighborhoods, commercial, civic, and open space, including retail and conference facilities with overnight accommodations.
Kept Classic Homes is currently building in a 55-plus, active-adult community at The Meridian in Kerrville, Texas. The single-story plans have elevations featuring a mix of materials that combine for a classic Hill Country aesthetic.
“The Meridian is doing quite well, and buyers really like the floor plans,” adds Durden. “We are developing new designs for Lakeside, but they will still incorporate features popular with the 55-plus demographic.”
Infrastructure work will begin later this year with presales projected to begin in mid-2023.
