On August 3rd, M/I Homes will host a grand opening celebration for its newest model, built to the Hudson floor plan, at Kipling Estates, a country club community in Shorewood, Illinois. Prospective buyers are invited to attend the celebration, tour the furnished model, and to learn more about the community, which is currently open for sales.
Overall, Kipling Estates offers a selection of eight two-story single-family floor plans, which range in size from 2,230 to 3,865 square feet with three to five bedrooms, 2.5 to 5.5 baths, and a two to three car garage. Base-pricing ranges from $269,990 to $339,990, depending on the plan.
“Kipling Estates not only gives buyers a great lifestyle, thanks to the community’s clubhouse, swimming pool, fitness center and playground, but also a terrific location in Shorewood, which is known for its beautiful rural setting paired with convenient proximity to major transportation arteries,” says Curt VanHyfte, area president of M/I Homes. “The grand opening event for our new model home will be a fun opportunity for prospective buyers to check out what Kipling Estates is all about, and experience firsthand one of our best-selling floor plans, the Hudson, which will be featured in the new model home.”
The Hudson plan, which is base-priced from $324,900, contains four bedrooms, two and a half baths, and 3,097 square feet of floor space. The model home, staged by award-winning Mary Cook Associates, showcases a two-story foyer, a butler’s pantry between the dining room and open kitchen, and a rear-facing den on the first floor. The kitchen features a walk-in pantry, a large island, and a bay window facing the backyard. Next to the kitchen is a two-story family room, which also benefits from large windows and natural sunlight exposure.
“The wide variety of floor plans at Kipling Estates offers all the must-haves today’s buyers want,” says Cheryl Bonk, vice president of sales and marketing for M/I Homes. “Large breakfast areas are comfortable spots for conversation and family meals, while formal dining rooms and large family rooms are inviting spaces for holiday gatherings and entertaining.”
Upstairs, the home features a master bedroom, three secondary bedrooms, master and hall bathrooms, and a laundry room. Three of the four rooms feature walk-in closets.
Optional features on display in the Hudson model include hardwood flooring and custom built-in cabinetry in the family room, den, laundry room and mudroom. Kitchen upgrades include a tile backsplash, quartz countertops, and stainless steel appliances.
“Clean, crisp shades of gray and white give this model home a modern feel, while the occasional use of latte finishes ground it in warmth,” Bonk says. “We love helping home buyers select from all the latest finishes and features to truly customize their home, and the Hudson model reflects some of those design possibilities.”
