Building Science Gets a Boost at IBS

New educational track will provide hands-on construction advice.

Every year, the International Builders’ Show offers dozens of educational sessions on topics that cover the breadth of the building industry, from business management and estimating to land development and codes. This year’s show, held in Las Vegas Jan. 20-22, will include a new track: Building Techniques, Systems & Materials, devoted to the “how to’s” of home building and design.

These sessions will cover building science issues in several areas including insulation, advanced framing, zoned HVAC, and water management. Other sessions related to best practices in home building include:
–Making Your Business Sustainable with High Performance Building
–NGBS Green Certification Tips from the Pros
–Techs & Specs for Energy Efficient, Durable Walls
–Refining Your Sales Pitch for High Performance Homes
