Orlando, Fla.-based Mattamy Homes has appointed Pete Skelly as the president of its U.S. Group, effective July 25.

Skelly has more than 28 years of experience in senior management roles. He was most recently the executive vice president and chief operating officer at CalAtlantic, a position he held for nearly three years until CalAtlantic’s acquisition by Lennar in February 2018. Previously, Skelly held a number of senior management roles at The Ryland Group, including EVP and COO, home building president, and regional and divisional president.

Mattamy was the 23rd largest builder in the country last year, with 2,601 closings and $909 million in revenue.

The Mattamy Homes U.S. Group currently operates in Charlotte, S.C., Raleigh, N.C., Phoenix, Tucson, Ariz., Jacksonville, Fla., Orlando, Tampa, Sarasota, Fla., Naples, Fla. and Southeast Florida.
