Join custom home builders, remodelers, architects, and other industry pros March 8 and 9 for the 2012 Midwest Regional Energy Star Conference in Lexington, Ky. The conference will offer insight on the implementation of the 2012 Energy Star guidelines for single-family houses, and four tracks of educational courses will be geared toward helping beginning and experienced green building pros alike. Building Science 101 presents a series of sessions for those interested in learning to incorporate sustainable techniques and design into their projects. The Innovative Products and Services track will explain the latest in technology and materials to those already skilled in green design and building. New Construction sessions will cover key points and nuances for green building experts to understand when implementing the 2011 Energy Star guidelines. Track four is Energy Efficient Retrofits and presentations will focus on home building performance improvements and energy upgrades.
Nationally renowned green building authorities from building science groups, universities, and government agencies (including the EPA’s Energy Star Homes national director and 2012 Hanley Award for Vision and Leadership in Sustainable Housing winner Sam Rashkin) will share their expertise with attendees in all four educational tracks as well as keynote addresses and general sessions. In addition to the conference, product manufacturers and energy providers will showcase their latest green offerings on the exhibition floor.
