Spyder Products is adding a new series of Brad Point Bits to its Stinger lineup of wood-boring bits, as well as expanding its packaging and size options for its auger, spade, power, and high-speed steel bits.
The new brad point bits, made for precision drilling in wood, laminate, and composite materials, feature a patented tip geometry made to eliminate chip burn and provide clean entry and exit holes. The dual-fluted design serves as a guide through deep holes, reducing friction and heat buildup. Available in a six-piece kit, bits range from 1/8 inch to 1/2 inch in diameter.
"In just a few short years, contractors, woodworkers, and other professionals have come to rely on the quality of Stinger drilling and boring bits. This expansion ensures those users, and others who want to try Spyder for the first time, have access to the right tool at the right price," says Ryan Campbell, executive vice president of Spyder.
The following Stinger wood-boring bits are available in additional sizes and packaging options:
- The auger bits, previously only available in a three-piece kit, are available individually. The deep-drilling bits range from 3/8 inch to 1 inch in diameter, offered in 6 1/2-inch and 18-inch lengths.
- Spade bits, previously available in six- and 14-piece kits, are available individually, as well as in an eight-piece kit with a durable flip case. The bits range from 1/4 inch to 1 1/2 inches in diameter, offered in 6- and 16-inch lengths.
- Power bits, previously available in a four-piece kit, are available individually or in a six-piece kit. The bits are available in 6 1/2- and 16-inch lengths, and range from 1/2 inch to 1 1/4 inches in diameter.
- The Mach-Blue armor-plated high-speed steel bits, made for high-performance drilling in wood and metal, are available in a 10-piece kit that includes bits ranging from 1/16 inch to 3/8 inch in diameter. Individual bits ranging from 1/16 to 1/2 inches are sold separately. spyderproducts.com
