One of many new additions to RIDGID’s OCTANE tool line this year is the RIDGID Brushless 18V 7-1/4 In Circular Saw, model number R8654B.
The tool is compatible with all of RIDGID’s 18V battery models, but provides an additional 30% more power with an OCTANE tool battery. Its brushless motor allows for greater runtime, more operating power, and a longer overall motor life, according to the manufacturer.
The saw performs up to a 2 11/16 inch depth of cut, with a no load speed of 5,600 RPM. It features an upgraded dust chute with a vacuum attachment, as well as an adjustable rafter hook.
If registered by the user, the tool is backed by RIDGID’s Lifetime Service Agreement, which provides free parts and service for life. It is set to launch in May 2019 at a suggested retail price of $149. ridgid.com
