There’s a new arrival on the smart kitchen market with Jenn-Air’s new connected wall oven, offered in single or double convection oven configurations. Scheduled for availability in September, the brand’s first WiFi-enabled oven will include an app for iOS and Android devices.
Along with diagnostic and maintenance functions, the app provides remote visibility and control, so users can see when the oven is preheated or how much cooking time is remaining. Also featured is Jenn-Air’s Culinary Center, which provides interactive and image-rich guidance for more than 30 cooking programs, incorporating details such as food category, desired "done-ness" and type of cookware used.
Through the app, homeowners can also use the My Creations function to combine cooking modes and save their favorite settings for future use. The cooking system features can also be accessed on the oven’s 7-inch, color LCD touchscreen display.
The brand’s V2 Dual-Fan system—which consists of two fan-equipped convection elements totaling 6,800 watts that rotate air throughout the cavity—provides optimum performance and even baking, the company says, with a 2,800-watt bake element and a 4,000-watt reflective broil element adding power and versatility.
Other features include rapid preheat, auto convection conversion, enhanced lighting, a large window, a full-extension glide rack, and soft auto-close doors. The appliance is available in three style options, including Pro- and Euro-Style Stainless and Black Floating Glass.
