DaVinci Roofscapes has launched a new line of composite siding, Hand-Split Shake Siding, that replicates the look of authentic cedar shakes. Each tile in the line is 18-inches tall with a 5/8-inch thickness and comes in eight- or 10-inch widths, with the 10-inch option simulating the appearance of four- and six-inch shakes placed together. The siding, according to the manufacturer, is made with virgin resins, UV and thermal stabilizers, and a highly-specialized fire retardant. Walker Zanger has introduced two large-format, natural stone tiles to round out its new Curated Elegance Collection—Fragmenta Terrazzo and Marble Luxe— which are inspired by the ancient roots of tile craftsmanship, but infused with a contemporary touch. The company partnered with one of Italy’s oldest family-owned terrazzo tile makers to create Fragmenta Terrazzo, which combines the composite characteristics of classic terrazzo tiles seen in 17th century Venetian palazzos with sleek, modern shades of grey, white and black. It will be offered in 24-by-24-inch tiles. The Marble Luxe collection is cut from large blocks usually reserved for slabs, offering a premium size with minimal thickness for easier installation and thinner grout lines.
