Rinnai is set to expand its condensing boiler lineup with the new I-Series of domestic condensing boilers. The boiler allows for simultaneous home heating and domestic hot water production, meaning that the home’s heat will not be interrupted if someone in the home wants to take a shower.

The I-Series boiler is available starting July 2019 as either a combi or heat-only model, and includes multi-zone heating control as standard. The unit runs at 95% AFUE efficiency, and operates on natural gas as standard, with a propane conversion kit included.

Maximum domestic heat inputs range from 60,000 to 150,000 BTU/h, depending on model, while maximum domestic hot water inputs range from 160,000 to 199,000 BTU/h for the combi models. A bypass servo valve provides precise control of the hot water’s temperature.

“From a global perspective, Rinnai continues to be a leader in the boiler category and has proven success in the market,” says Frank Windsor, president of Rinnai America Corporation. “With the launch of the new I-Series Boiler, Rinnai has further expanded its boiler presence in the North American market. We will continue to drive innovation and category growth in this market as we have done with tankless water heating, all while staying true to our vision of ‘enhancing lives by changing the way water is heated.’”

For every tankless water heater or boiler Rinnai sells this year, it will make a contribution of up to $250,000 to fund scholarships in the plumbing and HVAC trades. rinnai.us
