The latest addition to Lutron Electronics’ Caséta smart lighting system is the Caséta by Lutron Fan Speed Control, which allows homeowners to wirelessly control most ceiling fans from anywhere inside or outside their home.

The fan speed control and its smart connections are compatible with most ceiling fans, and allow users to adjust to four fan speed settings, and allows the user to designate a favorite speed setting. The console is easy to install, according to the manufacturer, and does not require the use of a canopy module. It is available in four finishes – white, ivory, light almond and black – and is compatible with a single 1.5 A ceiling fan. A neutral wire is required for installation.

Once integrated with the Lutron app, users may integrate their ceiling fan’s operation and speed settings into their Caséta scenes and schedules. In addition to lighting controls, Caséta by Lutron also works with automated shades, smart speakers, smart thermostats, and voice assistants, including Alexa and Google Home.

Also available is the Lutron Fan Pico Remote, a wireless, battery-powered remote control with a 30-foot range and a 10-year battery life under typical circumstances.

“Caséta by Lutron has been a popular choice with some of the nation’s largest home builders,” says Matt Swatsky, Lutron’s vice president of residential mid-market business. “The new ceiling fan control paired alongside Caséta dimmers, switches, and Pico remotes provides a clean, coordinated look throughout the home.”

The fan control is set to retail for $80, and the fan Pico for $42. lutron.com
