MoistureShield has introduced a new line of capped wood-plastic composite decking, designed to offer a natural wood look that requires little upkeep or maintenance.
The Meridian decking boards are made through the manufacturer’s Solid Core manufacturing process, designed to protect the boards against moisture penetration, warping, rotting, and insect damage. The surface cap features the manufacturer’s TruTexture surface finish, designed to raise the surface’s durability and emulate the look and feel of real wood.
“We are excited to combine our Solid Core manufacturing process with CoolDeck and TruTexture technologies into one product in the mid-priced composite category,” says Matthew Bruce, vice president of sales at MoistureShield. “The market has been asking for high-end aesthetics and performance at a reasonable price level, and we feel confident we will fill that need with Meridian.”
Meridian is available in three colors: Citadel, a cool gray; Shoreside, a golden sandy blonde; and Mariner, a dark brown. The Citadel and Shoreside colors are available with MoistureShield’s CoolDeck technology, which reduces the deck’s heat absorption by up to 35% compared with traditional capped composite boards, according to the manufacturer.
The boards are suitable for installation in the ground, on the ground, or underwater. They are available in square edge and grooved profiles and in 12-, 16-, and 20-foot lengths. moistureshield.com
