DaVinci Roofscapes’ new Nature Crafted Collection is composed of three composite shake shingle colors – Aged Cedar, Mossy Cedar, and Black Oak – that emulate three different progressive aging processes in real cedar shake shingles.
The Nature Crafted Collection finishes are available for all of DaVinci’s Multi-Width and Single-Width shake composite roofing tiles, allowing buyers to attain the look of aged wood without the worries of dealing with wooden roof tiles. DaVinci’s composite shake products carry a lifetime limited warranty against splitting, cracking, curling, or fading, and will resist fire, impact, high wings, mold, algae, fungus, and insects.
"The DaVinci Nature Crafted Collection is our most ambitious foray into color development in our company's history," says Ray Rosewall, president and CEO of DaVinci Roofscapes. "Our proprietary process technology enables us to recreate the natural warmth and softness of a patina previously only created by time and exposure to the elements."
Aged Cedar is a burnt, reddish color generally found in the transition from new to old natural cedar shake roofing. Mossy Cedar is a damp, greenish tone matches the influence of moss and lichen damage on natural cedar, while the Black Oak color mimics years of moisture, mold, and decay. The Natural Crafted Collection emulates these effects without the damage and potential failure they reflect on natural wood. All tiles are available with wavy and straight grains.
“In most cases when real wood has aged to the point where these beautiful patinas appear, the cedar itself begins to deteriorate as a roofing material,” says Rosewall. “We have captured those natural colors and married them up with our composite shakes to offer long-term performance without the worry of failing roof materials." www.davinciroofscapes.com
