Marvin has redesigned two of its offerings in the Marvin Ultimate series, the Marvin Ultimate Swinging door and Ultimate Swinging French door G2, offering a contemporary design aesthetic and larger glass panels.
The doors are available in heights up to 10 feet, with four-panel configurations in widths up to 14 feet and a standard panel thickness of 2 1/4 inches. The Ultimate Swinging door offers square interior and exterior profiles, and is available in one-to-four panel configurations, including unequal width options. The Ultimate Swinging French door G2 offers ogee interiors and simulated putty exterior profiles.
The Ultimate Swinging door offers narrow sight lines, with 3-inch stiles and rails, while the Ultimate Swinging French door G2 matches traditional French door aesthetics with 4 3/4-inch styles and an 8 1/2-inch bottom rail. The minimalist hardware on the Ultimate Swinging door is proportioned for 3-inch stiles, and includes a concealed multipoint locking system. The French door can be specified with traditional, contemporary, or Marvin Galley Hardware.
“Innovation, design leadership, and performance drive us to continually evolve and improve our products and collections,” says Darrin Peterson, president of Marvin. “We saw an opportunity to evolve the Ultimate line and redesigned every aspect of the swinging door platform, including sizing and aesthetics, to provide the market with a new, highly valued door offering. The platform features minimalist hardware and a concealed multipoint locking system that preserves the sleek aesthetic of these doors without sacrificing security. After years of careful concepting and meticulous design work, we are very excited to introduce these doors to the market.”
Both doors are available in inswing and outswing configurations, and include Marvin’s concealed lock sensor, which connects to smart devices to inform homeowners of whether or not their doors and windows are locked.
The extruded aluminum exterior frame is available in a number of commercial-grade finishes that resist fading and chalking. All of Marvin’s 19 standard colors are available as finish options, ranging from earth tones to bright colors, with the option to choose custom colors with Marvin’s color-matching service. Interior frames are available in a selection of finished natural, stained, or painted woods. marvin.com
