Owens Corning has unveiled a new and improved addition to its existing PINK insulation series—the Owens Corning PINK Next Gen Fiberglas insulation, formulated for safer handling, improved indoor comfort and sound reduction, and easier and faster installation, up to 23% faster than comparable Owens Corning products.
The PINK Next Gen Fiberglas insulation is both soft to the touch and safe for homeowners and installers to handle, with no formaldehyde added and no need for any additional chemical mixing on-site. The batts are shed-resistant, produce minimal dust during installation, and produces fewer clumps and chunks during the cutting and splitting process. The product fills standard cavities and stays put with high-performance product recovery and improved stiffness.
As a material, fiberglass is noncombustible; the PINK Next Gen Fiberglas has no flame-retardant chemicals added and exhibits 99% less smoke generation under controlled fire test conditions versus a competitive combustible product.
