Icynene-Lapolla has launched a new low-pressure, low density, two-component spray polyurethane foam designed for use in smaller projects or for touch-ups on larger jobs.

The low-pressure foam is available in two product sizes, OC-450 and OC-1350, each referring to the number of board feet that one container of material will cover. It is suited for filling and sealing voids and surfaces, according to the manufacturer, and serves to deaden sound and reduce the structure’s vibrations.

“OC-450 and OC-1350 is a best-in-class system for low-pressure spray foam applications and meets numerous building code standards and certifications,” says Doug Kramer, president and CEO of Icynene-Lapolla. “The material helps round out our robust suite of energy efficient spray polyurethane foam and building envelope solutions.”

The low-pressure spray foam is suitable for use with clean, dry substrates, including wood, metal, drywall and masonry. At a one-inch thickness, the product provides an initial R-value of 7.2 and an aged R-value of 6.0. It holds a UL GREENGUARD Gold Certification, and when applied creates an air barrier that improves air quality in the home, according to the manufacturer. When certain conditions are met, the foam may be used in attics and crawlspaces. icynene-lapolla.com
