Plumbing manufacturer TOTO has updated its long-standing Drake toilet series with two new models—Drake and Drake Transitional—featuring the company’s Tornado Flush System and WASHLET and WASHLET+ compatibility.
Both new toilets are designed with long-view global aesthetics in mind, according to the manufacturer. The new Drake design aims to update the existing model to match contemporary environments, while the Drake Transitional features a streamlined design that meshes traditional and modern aesthetics with a flared tank and a distinctive lip.
The high-efficiency flush system utilizes gravity and water—1.28 or 1.6 gallons per flush—to maximize bowl cleansing during the flush process. Two nozzles, rather than pinholes, allow for more efficient water use in bowl cleaning. Both toilets have earned a “Highly Recommended” rating on the Maximum Performance (MaP) test for solid waste removal.
The bowl and rim are coated in TOTO’s CEFIONTECT glaze, designed to repel waste in concert with the flush system. Both toilets are 17 inches from base to seat and offer an ADA-compliant, ergonomic height design.
The Drake and Drake Transitional are also both available as WASHLET+ models, which connect seamlessly with a TOTO WASHLET seat. This streamlines the toilet’s appearance and reduces dust and dirt buildup by providing an easier cleaning process. Both are also Auto-Flush WASHLET compatible. totousa.com
