Century Communities, Inc., Greenwood Village, Col. (NYSE:CCS) said Wednesday it has acquired Sundquist Homes, a single family home builder in the Seattle, Washington market, where it has been operating since 1974. Terms were not disclosed.
The acquisition expands Century's footprint in this growing West Coast market, which it entered through its merger with UCP, Inc. in August 2017.

Sundquist’s business, based in Lynnwood, is focused on building single family homes with sales prices generally ranging from approximately $600,000 to $1.1 million and with home sizes ranging from 2,200 to 3,700 square feet. As part of the transaction, Century acquired homes, owned lots and controlled lots in submarkets of the greater Seattle area. Century claims the combination creates a top-10 home builder in the Seattle market, though it provided no information on land holdings, closings or other operating metrics. Sundquist does not appear on the 2017 BUILDER 100 or Next 100 lists.
Larry Sundquist, founder and CEO of Sundquist Homes, will remain with Century. Sundquist was lauded late last year for donating 5.7 acres at its Glennwick Grove development to Snohomish County for use as parkland.
