At TRI Pointe Homes we believe in supporting great causes. Mike Grubbs, our CFO, challenged his business partners and co-founders Doug Bauer and Tom Mitchell to take the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge in a unique, homebuilding way – getting slammed with ice cold water at the hands of a huge bucket. Not just any bucket. This one was attached to a front-end loader and the water is being reused for dust control at the site of one of our new neighborhoods under construction, Fairwind in Huntington Beach, CA, thanks to our trade partner, Kana Pipeline. It doesn’t end there - Doug, Tom and Mike passed on the challenge to 2 other Orange County, CA based homebuilding executives Scott Stowell, CEO and President of Standard Pacific Homes and Adrian Foley, COO of Brookfield Residential California, and spread the love to Colorado challenging TRI Pointe Homes Colorado Division President, Matt Osborn to join the fun. It’s all for a good cause. Money has been pouring into ALS since the ice bucket campaign went viral. It was just announced last week that donations have topped $100 million – we invite everyone in our homebuilding family to join the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge!
