The Tampa Bay Business Journal has named Mattamy Homes one of Tampa Bay's Best Places to Work in the extra large companies category.

Best Places to Work aims to identify the top workplaces in Tampa Bay based on employee feedback. Employees of all the nominated organizations were anonymously surveyed and evaluated by their employees across a number of elements of the work environment: team effectiveness, retention risk, alignment with goals, trust with co-workers, individual contribution, manager effectiveness, trust in senior leaders, feeling valued, work engagement and people practices.

"We are truly a team in everything we do and accomplish," said Bob Meyn, Mattamy's Tampa-Sarasota-Naples Division president. "We believe that our most valuable assets walk in and out of our door each day – our people. We demonstrate this belief through an appreciative, collaborative, engaging and performance-driven culture. Every team member has a responsibility to foster this atmosphere, and we truly believe that we are a part of an extended family."

The Best Place to Work honorees were celebrated at an event on April 12 at George M. Steinbrenner Field. Billed as the area's largest company picnic, the event was attended by more than 700 attendees from the Best Places to Work. At the event, ranking orders for each category were revealed – Mattamy Homes was named the #8 Best Place to Work in the extra large companies category (more than 100 employees).
