SunCal reported Thursday that it has sold more than 700 residential lots to six home builders in its ShadowGlen community near Austin, Texas.
ShadowGlen covers 1,400 acres and is located in Manor, a suburb 14 miles east of Austin's city center at the terminus of the Manor Expressway. This $430-million toll road leads from the master-planned community to the highways that provide access to Austin and other job nodes north of the city.
The builders acquiring the latest set of lots in ShadowGlen include: Meritage Homes, Perry Homes, D.R. Horton, M/I Homes, Gehan Homes and Buffington Homes. The recently sold lots represent the last available lots in ShadowGlen's current development phase.
Besides these new builder acquisitions, Perry Homes, Gray Point Homes, Meritage Homes, Pulte Homes and Buffington Homes are already actively selling new residences in other neighborhoods within ShadowGlen.
"We're very pleased to complete the sale of these new lots in ShadowGlen, which is located in one of the fastest-growing markets in the nation," said David Soyka, snior vp at SunCal. "ShadowGlen offers attractively priced homes, there are tech-sector job opportunities a short drive away and we've been adding new trails and active areas to our existing amenities."
When completed, ShadowGlen will feature 3,000 homes. The community offers a four-acre water park and 4,300-square-foot amenity center; a fitness center and playscapes; the 18-hole ShadowGlen Golf Course and clubhouse; over 500 acres of open space and woodlands; nature trails and pathways; a new elementary school; and a 50-acre commercial/retail center.
