Charlotte-based builder NewStyle Communities, an EPCON Communities franchise, will break ground on The Courtyards at Tega Cay in the town of the same name in South Carolina on Saturday, May 22nd at 3 PM. The event will take place at 930 Stone Village Drive in Tega Cay, South Carolina, and will feature a local food truck and refreshments.

NewStyle’s 55-plus communities are renowned for their all-brick homes as well as their maintenance-free lifestyles. The award-winning single-level homes feature features such as private courtyard spaces. Interior features include open floor plans with natural light, gourmet kitchens, 10-foot tray ceilings, oversized 2-car garages and smart features like wide doorways, zero-entry showers, lever door handles, and comfort-height toilets. Buyers can choose from an array of optional structural features including second-story bonus suites, owners’ suite sitting rooms, screened porches and more.

The Courtyards at Tega Cay will have an intimate feeling, with just 45 homes, as well as a clubhouse, tennis courts and a pool for residents. Prices for homes start in the mid $300s. “Like all EPCON Communities, this neighborhood really is the perfect blend of lifestyle, community, and architecture,” said Brock Fankhauser, the founder of NewStyle Communities.

One of The Courtyards at Tega Cay’s key features is its convenient location just 20 minutes from downtown Charlotte. But its location in the city of Tega Cay is possibly even more important for prospective active adult home buyers. Over the past five years, Tega Cay, has racked up awards and accolades for everything from Best City in South Carolina to Best Suburb of Charlotte, Best Value in America to Safest City in South Carolina. (That last one is a 5-time repeat.)

NewStyle Communities and EPCON Communities have been building active adult communities for 33 years, and specialize in blending architecture and lifestyle in quaint, community settings.
