The New Home Company (NEW HOME, NYSE: NWHM) on Monday announced that construction is underway on Brighton Landing, a community of five distinct neighborhoods with 418 single-family residences in Vacaville, California.
Located off I-80 in Solano County, approximately halfway between San Francisco and Sacramento, Vacaville has emerged as an alternative for home buyers looking for a suburban lifestyle with more space and attainably priced homes, while maintaining a close connection to the strong job market and culture of the Bay Area.
At Brighton Landing, NEW HOME will present five distinct neighborhoods of single-family detached residences ranging up to 3,600 square feet. Buyers will be able to choose from a range of architectural styles with modern one- and two-story floor plans that utilize open spaces and indoor/outdoor living to bring family and friends together.
The homes at Brighton Landing are expected to be priced from the $500,000s and a Model Home Grand Home is anticipated for early 2019.
“We recognize the fact that an increasing number of home shoppers who are priced out of the Bay Area market are searching elsewhere for attainable options that showcase more space and lifestyle amenities with access to quality public schools,” said Kevin Carson, Northern California president for NEW HOME. “Brighton Landing is ideal for those growing families who may want or need to go into San Francisco on occasion for work or entertainment but need a large home within driving distance to serve their needs. We look forward to bringing these homes to market early next year.”
Several parks, playgrounds and schools are located within the community. A six-acre public park and Brighton Elementary School are planned to be finished later this year, and the community will also be served by Callison Elementary, Vaca Pena Middle School and Wood High School in the Vacaville Unified School District.
Locally, residents can go camping and hiking at Vacaville’s Lagoon Valley Park, a 470-acre nature reserve. For those who want to take a day fishing trip, Lake Berryessa and Grizzly Bay are less than an hour away. Lake Tahoe in the Sierra Nevada Mountains is just three hours east on I-80. Retail options include the Vacaville Premium Outlets, a recognized destination for local and international shoppers searching for high-end brands and bargains. Closer to home, residents will find a charming downtown with locally owned boutiques and bistros.
“We want to inform prospective buyers that life beyond the Bay Area can be bigger, more natural and certainly more affordable,” said Carson. “If they are looking for more space to spread their wings and grow their family, Brighton Landing is for them.”
