KB Home (NYSE: KBH) today announced the grand opening of Sawgrass Bay, a community of one- and two-story new homes on conservation home sites in Clermont, Florida.
Convenient to U.S. Route 27 and Highway 429, Sawgrass Bay is close to the Walt Disney World® Resort as well as several major area employers.
Residents of Sawgrass Bay can enjoy shopping, dining, and entertainment at nearby Clermont Landing. Lake Louisa State Park, which offers fishing, camping, biking, and wildlife viewing, is just minutes away, and golf enthusiasts can tee off at Kings Ridge Golf Course, which features scenic views of the surrounding hills.

KB Home will host a grand opening celebration at Sawgrass Bay on Saturday, October 27 and Sunday, October 28 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., during which attendees may tour the model home. Refreshments and family entertainment will be provided from noon to 4:00 p.m. each day.
KB Home will be building one- and two-story homes and offering nine floor plans. With up to six bedrooms and three bathrooms and ranging in size from 1,500 to 3,000 square feet, the homes also feature such desirable design characteristics as spacious great rooms, master walk-in closets, and dedicated laundry rooms. Community amenities include a pool and playground, and pricing begins in the mid-$200,000s.
“Home buyers at Sawgrass Bay will enjoy its ideal location and beautiful natural surroundings,” said Fred Wyborski, president of KB Home’s Orlando division. “We are confident that with the unique pairing of proximity to Clermont’s vibrant, modern amenities and the opportunity to live in a new residence built to their personal preferences on protected conservation home sites, buyers will find Sawgrass Bay a special place to call home.”
The KB homes at Sawgrass Bay will be built to current ENERGY STAR® guidelines and include WaterSense® labeled faucets and fixtures, meaning they are designed to be more energy- and water-efficient than most typical new and resale homes available in the area. These energy- and water-saving features are estimated to save homebuyers between $780 to $1,116 a year in utility costs, depending on the floor plan.
